I learned fiction writing in a Yahoo! Chat room starting in high school in the late-90s. Bored one summer day, I joined a text-based role playing group, and together we collaboratively created a fictional realm inspired by popular anime of the time.

These days, I spend my weekdays as a communications and marketing professional, where I have turned out publications that have been shared around the world. My non-fiction writing has appeared in columns in local publications, and alternative magazines across Canada, and I spent four years as a contributing editor to ArtThreat.net, a political art publication. As a spokeswoman, I have appeared on TV and radio stations, including Breakfast Television, Global TV, CTV, and CBC.

More than a decade after leaving chat RPGs, I added fiction-writing back into my repertoire, creating worlds and characters as a meditative alternative to my day-job hustle.
