The Hydra of Terminus City

In the far future city of Terminus, flora engulfs old high rises and returns them to the earth. Along the shore of the bay, buildings rise from the water and fish swim in and out of old doors and windows. Best friends Edie and Alma are part of a modest and peaceful population who live among the ruins, working as archivists to collect old documents scavenged and traded from the dilapidated remnants of the old city.

After Edie and Alma risk their lives to rescue a passenger (Lucas) of a mysterious ship that has arrived in the bay of Terminus City, Edie discovers she has been imbued with a power to manipulate the energy of the town’s ancestors. What’s more, that very same power may be just what Lucas has come to town to find: a power he calls the Hydra.

Edie and Lucas grow close over a mutual love of history, but when she reveals her newfound power to him she realizes that she may have risked not only her own life, but the safety and future of her friends and her beloved Terminus City.
